Gov. Kefas Congratulates Muslims in Taraba state.

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, congratulated Muslims in the state on the occasion of the end of Ramadan.

This was contained in a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications on Wednesday.

The governor, while wishing the Muslim faithful a great Eid-El-Fitr celebration, called for more tolerance among the different faiths in the state.

He noted that the lesson of sacrifice and discipline learned during Ramadan should be imbibed even after the exercise.

The governor also stressed that the nation needs prayers and selfless service from both the leadership and the followership to overcome all the challenges facing the country.

He observed that all the two main faiths in the state have been celebrating their religious festivals together, which is a good development given the relationships that exist between them even at family levels.

Governor Kefas emphasized that Taraba State is strengthened by the diversity across tribes and faiths, and with unity, the state can do more in the area of development and progress.

He assured the citizens that his administration would continue to carry everyone along, irrespective of their faith or ethnicity, in the distribution of the dividends of democracy.

The governor also revealed that his administration is not leaving any stone unturned in the provision of security and that he is committed to battling poverty and hunger to make life easier for the citizens.

He reiterated his commitment to the payments of gratuities and offsetting all backlogs.

Furthermore, Governor Agbu Kefas emphasized that the free education policy has come to stay to build the future of the younger generations.

Meanwhile, he paid a Sallah homage to the Emir of Muri in his palace in Jalingo, Alhaji Abbas Njidda Tafida, which is the first of its kind in the history of the state.
