Civil Defence in Adamawa Promise to tackle any criminal activities in the state.

In a effort to  decisive move to curb vandalism and other criminal activities in Adamawa State, Commandant ID Bande of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has made the  warning to all vandals, thieves, and burglars. During a press briefing where 12 suspected vandals and other criminals involved in theft and burglary were paraded, at Command Headquarters Yola, the Commandant. Bande made it clear that Adamawa will no longer serve as a safe haven for criminals.

In his statement, Commandant Bande declared that under his leadership, it will no longer be "business as usual" for vandals and scavengers in the state. He urged those engaging in such activities to either repent or relocate, emphasizing that the state will remain intolerant of criminal behavior.

"Adamawa is not a place for vandals or scavengers. We are fully committed to protecting the public and state's assets and ensuring that criminal elements are brought to justice," Commandant Bande said.

He expressed gratitude to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his zero-tolerance policy towards vandalism and scavenging, noting that the NSCDC has since deployed its operatives to enforce this policy. Commandant Bande assured the public that anyone found engaging in these unlawful activities will be held accountable.

This directive aligns with the charge from the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, who has tasked all State Commandants to prioritize the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure. Dr. Audi emphasized the importance of proactive measures in safeguarding these assets, ensuring they are secure from any form of sabotage, vandalism, or destruction. He reiterated that the NSCDC is committed to a zero-tolerance stance on any act of vandalism or criminality that threatens national security and public safety.

Commandant Bande called on all well-meaning citizens of Adamawa to take ownership of critical national assets and infrastructure within their communities. He urged them to report any suspicious activities or attempts to destroy these assets to the nearest NSCDC office in their jurisdiction.

The NSCDC remains dedicated to maintaining peace and security in Adamawa State and ensuring that national assets and public infrastructure are protected from criminal elements.
