The Chairman of the Foundation in Adamawa State, Mallam Mukhtar Dayyib, disclosed this ahead of the graduation ceremony scheduled to hold in Yola after the completion of the training.

Mallam Dayyib explained that the initiative was conceived in response to the growing challenge of youth unemployment, which often exposes young people to social and economic distractions.

He said the foundation decided to focus on skill acquisition to enable youths become self-reliant and improve their living conditions.

According to him, the beneficiaries will be selected from all the 21 local government areas of Adamawa State to ensure inclusiveness and promote balanced development across the state.

He further urged the participants to make proper use of the skills they will acquire, noting that effective application of the knowledge would help improve their standard of living and contribute to societal development.

Also speaking, the Treasurer of the Attarahun Foundation, Mallam Abbas Abubakar, expressed optimism that the programme would record success in reducing unemployment among youths in the state.

He advised other organisations to complement such efforts by investing in youth skills training, stressing that empowering young people would help promote peace and stability in society.

Mallam Abubakar also called on the state and local governments to introduce empowerment programmes that would enable youths become self-reliant, while advising young people to always seek practical skills they can depend on for a successful life.

Some of the prospective beneficiaries have expressed excitement over the upcoming training, assuring that they will fully utilise the skills to be acquired and also pass the knowledge to others for the overall development of their communities.
