NSCDC Deploys Personnel to Track Students Over ‘Signed Out’ Celebrations in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) says it has deployed personnel across the state to track down secondary school leavers and others suspected of participating in the controversial “Signed Out” celebrations. The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Amidu Nyako Baba, disclosed this while speaking with Newsmen in Yola. According to Nyako, the Command is continuing its investigation into 10 suspects arrested in connection with separate “Signed Out” gatherings. He said those in custody have provided useful information that has helped investigators identify other individuals believed to have participated in similar activities. Adamawa State Government Relaxes Curfew in Lamurde LGA, Urges Residents to Sustain Peace

Following a review of the security situation and the noticeable improvement in Lamurde Local Government Area, the Adamawa State Government has approved the relaxation of the curfew earlier imposed on the area following the prolonged crisis. ADAMAWA POLICE RECOVER STOLEN TOYOTA HILUX, ARREST TWO SUSPECTS

The Adamawa State Police Command has recovered a stolen *Toyota Hilux* vehicle and arrested *two suspects* in connection with a case of criminal conspiracy and receiving stolen property. Police Public Relation Officer Adamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje discloused this in statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. The suspects, *Mustapha Suleiman* of Wuro Hausa and *Rabiu Garba*, 38, of Jambutu, were arrested following a report by *Aliyu Usman*. The complainant discovered that the Toyota Hilux he purchased for *₦7.5 million* had been reported stolen. Preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen from *Rivers State in June 2026* and transported to Adamawa State by a suspect identified as *Mati*, who is currently at large. The fleeing suspect allegedly conspired with the two arrested persons and sold the vehicle to the complainant. Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command have arrested two suspects for allegedly defrauding unsuspecting customers by selling them dummy phones instead of original working devices. The suspects, Audu Abubakar and Nasiru Hassan, both residents of Bauchi Street, Yola North LGA, were apprehended following complaints from victims who discovered that the phones purchased were non-functional replicas. TEDI in Adamawa State has pledged to transform Tsangaya education and reposition Almajiri schools to compete with other learning institutions across the state. The Chief Imam of Mopol 14, Mbamba Jumma'at Mosque, Bashir Thahir. made this known in an interview with Radio NIgeria on Friday, following his weekly sermon. According to Imam Thahir, the Islamic calendar, consisting of 12 months, is 11 days shorter than the Gregorian calendar because each month spans either 29 or 30 days, depending on the sighting of the moon.
