Over 1,500 KEDCO workers Endorse Jamilu Gwamna For Gombe Governorship Race

More than one thousand five hundred indigenes of Gombe State currently working with the Kano Electricity Distribution Company, KEDCO, have endorsed Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna for the 2027 Gombe State governorship election. The endorsement was announced during a solidarity gathering organized by the workers, who expressed appreciation for what they described as Dr. Gwamna’s role in facilitating employment opportunities for many Gombe indigenes during his time at KEDCO. The Adamawa State Police Command has successfully rescued a kidnapped victim unhurt, and recovered two AK-47 rifles with live ammunition during a coordinated rescue operation carried out in Song Local Government Area of the State. The Chairman of the North Eastern Cooperatives Stakeholders Forum and APC chieftain, Barrister Abdullahi Jalo, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, especially those who lost during the party primaries, to support the party’s candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections. Barrister Jalo made the call while speaking with newsmen in Gombe following the just concluded APC direct primaries across the country. He appealed to governorship aspirants and other contestants who were unsuccessful in the primaries to put aside their differences and work together for the success of the ruling party in the forthcoming elections. NSCDC Deploys 1,352 Personnel for Eid-el-Kabir Security in Adamawa

FRSC Assures Accident-Free Eid-el-Kabir Celebration in Adamawa

As preparations intensify for the 2027 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced that it has concluded all necessary arrangements to ensure a hitch-free festive period without road crashes before, during, and after the celebrations. The Adamawa State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Ibrahim Abubakar Sadiq, disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Yola. According to the Sector Commander, the corps has put in place adequate measures to guarantee peaceful Sallah celebrations devoid of accidents and loss of lives. He explained that FRSC personnel have already been deployed to various traffic-prone areas across the state to ease congestion and ensure free flow of traffic. The direct primaries of the All Progressives Congress for the House of Representatives were conducted peacefully and harmoniously across Gombe State. Correspondents of Radio Nigeria who monitored the exercise in some ward election centres observed that voting commenced smoothly, with card-carrying party members queuing in an orderly manner without any rancour. At Jekadafari Ward, the Governor of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahaya, joined other party members on the queue and cast his vote peacefully.
