NATIONAL POLICE DAY 2026: (DAY THREE- 3 FOCUSES ON PUBLIC SENSITIZATION ON SAFE DRIVING AND ELECTORAL VIOLENCE PREVENTION.

In continuation of the activities marking the National Police Day, 2026 Day three (3), the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, in-charge of Zone 3 Headquarters, Yola, AIG Akinwale Kunle Adeniran    has appreciated the Commissioners of Police Adamawa and Taraba State Police Commands for the total compliance with the IGP directives on the National Police Day Celebration.

The activities were led by two Commissioners of Police, CP Hassan Kabir Umar  of the Adamawa State Police Command and CP Morkwap S. Dongshal of the Taraba State Police Command.


They were joined by their management teams, members of POWA, the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), NURTW, political actors, and youth representatives, all of whom participated in the event.


The two (2) CP's under Zone 3 Command educated drivers at motor parks on safe driving, avoiding overloading and overspeeding, and obeying traffic rules. They also advised political youths to stay peaceful during campaigns and on election day, avoid drugs, weapons, shun thuggery and ballot box snatching. 


The AIG thanked the press for thier support in promoting police activities in the two commands under his supervision.


In his closing remarks, AIG Akinwale praised the leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, *IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu psc(+), NPM,* and pledged his loyalty to the Nigeria Police Force and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
