NDLEA, MCRP, tours secondary schools in Adamawa south
As National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, and Multi Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project MCRP, continues with WADA sensitization on drug abuse across the secondary schools in Adamawa state, NDLEA, and MCRP visit secondary schools in the southern zone of the state.
The southern zone includes Demsa, Numan, Lamurde, Guyuk, Shalleng, Mayo Belwa, Jada, Ganye, and Tongo, Local Government Areas.
In the WADA lecture, zone B Yola NDLEA Commander, DCGN Idris Muhammed Bello emphasized the effect of drug abuse in society, especially in youth.
He said the essence of organizing the sensitization for secondary was to tackle the issue of drug abuse at the grassroots level in the communities.
Bello urged parents and other stakeholders in the southern zone of Adamawa to give maximum support to NDLEA to succeed in the fight against drug abuse in the zone.
Idris Muhammed Bello advised people in the zone to help NDLEA with useful information, which allows the Agency to reduce the menace.
He also called on parents and Teachers to join hands and work together to eradicate drug abuse in the communities.
Muhammed Bello assured the people of the southern zone of Adamawa state that the NDLEA is ready to work with the stakeholders, schools, organizations, and Individuals to control the youth and rehabilitate them, especially those who have committed themselves to drug abuse.
