FG Empowers 18 Rescued Chibok Girls with Vocational Skills, ₦1m Grants

The Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, has empowered 18 rescued Chibok girls with vocational skills, working tools and financial grants to support their economic independence. The beneficiaries successfully completed vocational training in tailoring and other trades at a graduation ceremony held at Modibbo Adama University in Yola, Adamawa State. Speaking at the event, the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Ibrahim Suleiman-Ibrahim, said the intervention was designed to support the girls in rebuilding their lives after the traumatic experiences they endured following their abduction by insurgents. She said equipping them with practical skills and financial support would enable them to become self-reliant, expand their businesses and contribute positively to society. The District Head of Bojude in Kwami Local Government Area of Gombe State, Alhaji Muhammad Ibrahim, has turbaned the APC Governorship Candidate, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, as the Walin Bojude in a historic ceremony.
