NSCDC Adamawa Command Records Successful Raid in Mubi, Arrests Nine Suspects

NSCDC Adamawa State Command, has recorded a major operational success following a targeted raid conducted in Mubi and its surrounding areas.


This operation was conducted in direct and prompt fulfillment of the Executive Security Directive of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who mandated an immediate and comprehensive raid on all identified black spots within Mubi metropolis and its surrounding environs. 


Adamawa state Command Public Relation Officer DSC Amidu Nyako Baba states this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.


The directive, characterised by its boldness and proactive foresight, reflects His Excellency's unyielding determination to rid Adamawa State of criminal elements and guarantee the safety and wellbeing of all residents.


Acting swiftly and decisively on this mandate, the State Commandant, Comdt Idris Dahiru Bande, immediately mobilised and deployed a team of specially trained operatives to execute the operation with maximum efficiency and professionalism.


The operation, carried out on Monday, 4 May 2026, is in line with ongoing efforts to rid the state of criminal elements and enhance public safety. 


The exercise specifically targeted identified black spots within the Mubi metropolitan area known for illicit activities.


At the conclusion of the raid, a total of nine (9) suspects were apprehended. Items recovered from the suspects include dangerous weapons—such as a firearm and knives—as well as illicit drugs and other controlled substances.


All arrested suspects have since been transferred to the Command Headquarters in Yola, where they are undergoing detailed profiling and investigation. 


The Command has confirmed that upon completion of the investigative process, the suspects will be charged to court in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
