North-East Hunters Association Of Nigeria. Reaffirms Commitment to Supporting Security Agencies

The North-East Hunters Association of Nigeria.  has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting security agencies in promoting lasting peace and security across the North-East region and Nigeria as a whole.

Chairman of the association, Modibbo Idris Usman Tola, made the pledge while speaking with journalists in Yola.

He explained that the primary responsibility of the association is to complement the efforts of security agencies in tackling insecurity, thereby creating a safe environment where farmers, herders, and other residents can carry out their daily activities without fear.

According to Tola, the security situation in the North-East has improved considerably in recent years. However, he stressed that stronger collaboration between security agencies and members of the public remains essential to achieving sustainable peace.

He urged citizens to provide security agencies with credible and timely information that could help prevent criminal activities and enhance public safety. He also cautioned against taking the law into their own hands, advising residents to report suspicious persons or unlawful activities to the appropriate authorities for prompt investigation and action.

The chairman further called on members of the Hunters Association to discharge their responsibilities professionally, avoid harassing members of the public or violating anyone's rights, and promptly report any suspicious activities to relevant security agencies.

Tola encouraged members of the association to continue working closely with security personnel to strengthen community safety and improve security across the region.

He reaffirmed the association's unwavering commitment to supporting security agencies in all efforts aimed at safeguarding lives and property in the North-East.

He also appealed to members of the association to remain united and committed to their shared mission, noting that unity is key to achieving lasting peace and security in the North-East and across Nigeria.
