The Chairman of the Jalingo local council in Taraba State, Dr. Aminu Jauro Hassan has called for a united effort towards attaining Governor Agbu Kefas's Moving Forward Agenda.

He made the call when he delivered a speech at the swearing-in ceremony of seven (7) Supervisory Councillors, (12) Advisers, and his Chief of Staff which took place on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the council's premises.

The Oath of Office was administered by a female Barrister.

Dr. Jauro who is also Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Taraba State chapter,

stressed the importance of local government councils focusing on grassroots development to address the underdevelopment of local communities.

Dr. Jauro expressed concern regarding the disproportionate development efforts directed toward urban centers, which has left local communities underserved.

He highlighted the critical role of local government councils in addressing the needs of the masses and suggested a development approach aimed at achieving the desired goals.

Dr. Aminu Jauro Hassan attributed the lack of significant development at the grassroots level to negligence.

He urged the newly appointed appointees to embrace their roles as frontline representatives and work diligently to ensure equitable development across all communities.

Dr. Jauro commended the State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, for prioritizing grassroots development, his commitment towards poverty alleviation, and fostering inclusive governance.

Finally, he addressed allegations recently made against him by a group regarding his appointments, stating that all accusations were found to be false and baseless and reaffirmed his commitment to all-inclusive governance.
