*ZONE 3 POLICE HEADQUARTERS, YOLA, DEBUNKS FALSE SOCIAL MEDIA REPORT ON THE RETIREMENT OF AIG AKINWALE KUNLE ADENIRAN.*

The attention of Zone 3 Police Headquarters, Yola, has been drawn to a misleading publication circulating on the WhatsApp platform, *"GREAT NIGERIA RENAISSANCE,"* today, 5th July, 2026, alleging that *AIG Akinwale Kunle Adeniran, psc, mni, mspsp,* was forcibly retired by the Inspector-General of Police, *IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc (+), NPM.


Police Public Relation Office Zone 3 Yola Adamawa state  Command SP Aminu Bashir Umar discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.


Zone 3 Police Headquarters categorically states that, the publication is false, misleading, and without any iota of truth.


For the avoidance of doubt, AIG Akinwale retired honourably from the Nigeria Police Force upon attaining the statutory retirement requirements of Sixty (60) years of age in pensionable service, in accordance with the relevant laws and extant  regulations Governing Federal Civil Service in the Nigeria Police Force.


Throughout his distinguished career, AIG Akinwale served the nation with dedication, professionalism, and integrity. His retirement is a routine administrative process and should not be misconstrued or sensationalised when good people's of the Country are celebrating him on his successful retirement. 


The Zone is therefore, urges members of the public to disregard the false publication and refrain from circulating unverified information capable of misleading the public or undermining the image and cohesion of the Nigeria Police Force.


Media practitioners, bloggers, and social media users are encouraged to verify the authenticity of information through official and credible sources before publication or dissemination.


The Nigeria Police Force remains committed to transparency, professionalism, and providing accurate information to the public. While; thanking the media for there unwavering support to the Nigeria Police Force always.
