Teachers in Adamawa have been advised to double their effort on duty.

Teachers in Adamawa have been charged to remain committed to their duties as the state government provides Adequate Learning Materials in various Secondary schools in the state. Acting Executive Secretary Post Primary Schools Management Board, Mr Birsan Penuel gave this advice while interacting with a journalist in Yola, Adamawa state Capital. Mr Birsan Penuel explained that this became necessary because the state government has provided more learning Materials which include Lesson plans, Doziers, and chalks among others. He therefore emphasized the need for all teachers to consider activities that would help them to give quality Education to the students across the state. He equally Urged the parent-teachers Association PTA to be united and give maximum support to the Adamawa state government policy on the Education system for the development of the state.

 Adamawa State Police Command, in its continued efforts to rid the state of Criminal activities related with Shilla gangsterism, has arrested one Usman Abubakar of Shuware Ward, Mubi North LGA, for causing grievous hurt and Robbery in Mubi. Police Public Relation Officer Adamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. The arrest followed a complaint received on  from one Hadiza Atiku of Wuro Harde Ward, Mubi North LGA. that on the same at about 1730hrs, while she was walking around Jambas Hotel, Mubi, the suspect approached blocked her, physically assaulted her and forcefully robbed her of her Infinix WOD Nine handset. The suspect armed himself with  scissors and stabbed her on her face, causing her serious injury. Commissioner Call For Support to Governor Fintiri.

  Residents of Adamawa State have been urged to support Governor Fintiri’s administration to enable him to continue the developmental  projects across the state. The Commissioner for Entrepreneurship in Adamawa State, Hammajumba Gatugel, made this appeal during an interview with journalists in Yola, the state capital. The Commissioner stated that the Adamawa State government, under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, is committed to providing essential services, including education, healthcare, security, and skills acquisition programs for women and youth, in order to reduce unemployment across the state. Hammajumba encouraged stakeholders and the entire populace of Adamawa State to continue praying and seeking Allah’s guidance to help the governor to achieve the  goals for the state’s development. Adamawa state police Command commenced investigation over beating student by his teacher.

 Adamawa State Police command has commenced investigation into an allerged torture said to have been done to a secondary school pupil of Aliyu Mustafa Academy,Jimeta- Yola, by his teacher (name withheld). Police Public Relation Officer Adamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje stated this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. The pupil Jaafar Bashiri Tofa of SS 1 class, Awas said to have received severe beaten from the teacher but is now receiving treatment.  The Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, frowned at the unfortunate incident,  However directed Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Investigation to take over the case for discreet investigation. Police Boss while appealing for calm, urge members of the public particularly teachers to avoid anything that will override their official responsibilities. He  assured that justice must definitely take its course.

KIDNAPPING OF TWO REVEREND FATHERS:-, ADAMAWA CP DEPLOYED TEAM FOR RESCUE OPERATION.

Teachers in Ganye local government got teaching materials from Adamawa state government.

  Teachers in Ganye Local Government Area of Adamawa State have received teaching materials aimed at enhancing the education sector in the region.  The distribution ceremony took place at Government Science Secondary School, Sugu, in Ganye Local Government. The Coordinating Principal of Ganye and Principal of GSSS Sugu, Mallam Abubakar Hamman Tukur Tola, , explained that the materials were provided by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri through the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, in collaboration with the Post Primary Schools Management Board.  The goal is to provide quality education to students across Ganye Local Government.   Youth in Adamawa State have been encouraged to pursue education and actively contribute to the development and peaceful coexistence within their communities. Mr Birsan Penuel, Acting Secretary of the State Post Primary Schools Management Board, made this statement while receiving an award from the Bwaraune Youth Development Association at his office in Yola. POLICE ARREST THREE 3 FOR VANDALIZING AND STEALING ELECTRIC TRANSFORMER CABLES IN GIREI LOCAL GOVERNMENt.

FOMWAN Calls for wearing Hijab among Muslim women.

  A coalition of Muslim women's organizations has called for the implementation of a framework that ends discrimination against women who wear the hijab.    This call was made during an event held at the Federation of Muslim Women FOMWAN in Yola, where Muslim women's organizations gathered to discuss issues affecting hijab wearers and its importance from an Islamic perspective.   In a keynote address, Hajiya Aishatu Khamis emphasized the importance of wearing the hijab to uphold good values and display the best Islamic morals.    She urged Muslim women to adhere to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad to earn respect in society.   Rukaiya Garba from Women in Daawah noted that the event provided an opportunity to raise awareness about the hijab as a symbol of faith and identity.    Amira FOMWAN Hajiya Khadija Buba encouraged parents to promote hijab-wearing among their children, citing its role in protecting them from negative influences and prom...

The Adamawa state police command commenced investigation into the fire incident that affected MRS filling station, Batchure junction, along Numan road tonight. Police Public Relation Officer Adamawa state SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola Adamawa state Capital. The immediate response from the command's  operational unit and that of firefighters brought the fire under control. SUSPECTED STOLEN CAR RECOVERED, AS ONE ARRESTED FOR FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested one Mubarak Abdulkadiri, a resident of Shagari, Yola South LGA, for alleged cheating and Having in possession of a suspected stolen vehicle. Police Public Relation Officer Adamawa State SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, Stated this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. On 1st February 2025,  Ahmed Salihu, a manager of Two Star Filling Station, Mubi, reported that the suspect went to his filling station and bought fuel worth ₦97,850 and collected additional ₦10,000 under false pretence, pretending to pay through POS . However, he fled in a Honda CRV with foreign registration number HJ58URU. As part of an effort to boost Education in Adamawa State, Principals have been urged to remain committed to their duties to enhance the Education system across the State. The Acting Executive Secretary of the Post-primary Schools Management Board in Adamawa State, Mr Birsan Penuel, made this known in an interview with a journalist shortly after meeting with coordinating and zonal directors principals at the Board in Yola. He explained that the essence of the meeting with the Coordinators, Zonal Directors, and principals was to come together to discuss the challenges in their schools and find solutions. Mr Birsan Penuel advised all principals in Adamawa State to stay committed to their duty and avoid anything that creates problems across their schools.
