FOMWAN Calls for wearing Hijab among Muslim women.

A coalition of Muslim women's organizations has called for the implementation of a framework that ends discrimination against women who wear the hijab.

This call was made during an event held at the Federation of Muslim Women FOMWAN in Yola, where Muslim women's organizations gathered to discuss issues affecting hijab wearers and its importance from an Islamic perspective.

In a keynote address, Hajiya Aishatu Khamis emphasized the importance of wearing the hijab to uphold good values and display the best Islamic morals.

She urged Muslim women to adhere to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad to earn respect in society.

Rukaiya Garba from Women in Daawah noted that the event provided an opportunity to raise awareness about the hijab as a symbol of faith and identity.

Amira FOMWAN Hajiya Khadija Buba encouraged parents to promote hijab-wearing among their children, citing its role in protecting them from negative influences and promoting discipline and morality.

Fatima Ahmad Marafa also highlighted the significance of the event, stating that it helped participants understand the importance of hijab from an Islamic perspective.
