SUSPECTED STOLEN CAR RECOVERED, AS ONE ARRESTED FOR FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES









The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested one Mubarak Abdulkadiri, a resident of Shagari, Yola South LGA, for alleged cheating and Having in possession of a suspected stolen vehicle.




Police Public Relation Officer Adamawa State SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, Stated this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.




On 1st February 2025,  Ahmed Salihu, a manager of Two Star Filling Station, Mubi, reported that the suspect went to his filling station and bought fuel worth ₦97,850 and collected additional ₦10,000 under false pretence, pretending to pay through POS . However, he fled in a Honda CRV with foreign registration number HJ58URU.


Following swift response, by gallant officers attached to Divisional police Headquarters, Mubi North, he was arrested at Mubi Toll Gate, during investigation he was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the vehicle’s ownership and there is no document proofing ownership or justify his claims and determine the true ownership.


The Adamawa State Police Command urges anyone with a rightful claim to visit Divisional police Headquarters, Mubi North with valid proof of ownership or contact the command's PRO for further inquiries.
