A dark complexioned little Hafiz, about 4 years old, found by a very good Samaritan and brought to Doubeli Divisional police headquarters, Yola.  This containin in a statement by Adamawa police public Relation officer SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje made available to Newsmen in yola. The child is unable to clearly state his parents name or where he is from. BREAKTHROUGH: POLICE ARREST SUSPECT IN VIRAL VIDEO DISPLAYING AK-47 RIFLE

Adamawa State Police Command has arrested one Anas Dauda, 32 years old, male, of Jalingo B area, Lamorde Ward, Mubi South Local Government Area, for unlawful possession of a firearm. Police Public Officer Adamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje disclosed this in a statement made available to Newmen in Yola. The arrest followed a viral video circulating on social media showing the suspect displaying an AK-47 rifle loaded with three magazines, making very disturbing and threatening comments, and claiming he would sell or lease the weapon for a certain amount of money. The video, which caused panic and fear amongst residents, was promptly brought to the attention of the Command. By Alhassan Haladu Yola. ‎ ‎The Adamawa State Post Primary Schools Management Board has commenced the Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations for the recruitment of 5,000 teachers across the state. ‎ ‎Speaking during the exercise at General Murtala Muhammed College, Yola, the Acting Executive Secretary of the Board and Co-Chairman of the Screening Committee, Mr. Birsan Penuel, disclosed that all necessary arrangements have been finalized to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination. ‎ ‎According to him, relevant stakeholders are fully on ground to monitor and support the process for transparency, efficiency, and fairness. ‎ ‎Applicants began arriving at the venue as early as 7:00 a.m., ahead of the official start time, and were attended to by staff of Satlink Consult, the consulting firm managing the technical aspects of the examination. ‎ ‎Mr. Penuel expressed satisfaction with the large turnout of applicants and the smooth conduct of the exercise. ‎ ‎He also commended Governor Ahma...

The unfortunate incident occurred on 14th October, 2025 at Sabon gari quarters, Fufore local government area. ‎Movement for Good Governance Holds Sanitation Exercise in Yola ‎

‎By Abubakar Ibrahim Yola. ‎A non-governmental organization, Movement for Good Governance Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Adamawa State, has organized a sanitation exercise from AYT Junction to Mafias Quarters in Yola Town, Yola South Local Government Area. ‎ ‎The exercise, according to the association, aims at promoting a cleaner and healthier Adamawa State, free from cholera and other diseases that have become prevalent in recent times. ‎ ‎Speaking with Journalist in yola, the Secretary of the Association, Muhmuda Wambai, said the initiative was designed to encourage residents to keep their surroundings clean and ensure a healthy environment. ‎ ‎Also speaking, the Patron of the Movement said the sanitation exercise was necessary to complement government efforts in maintaining environmental hygiene.
