‎Movement for Good Governance Holds Sanitation Exercise in Yola ‎

‎A non-governmental organization, Movement for Good Governance Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Adamawa State, has organized a sanitation exercise from AYT Junction to Mafias Quarters in Yola Town, Yola South Local Government Area.

‎The exercise, according to the association, aims at promoting a cleaner and healthier Adamawa State, free from cholera and other diseases that have become prevalent in recent times.

‎Speaking with Journalist in yola, the Secretary of the Association, Muhmuda Wambai, said the initiative was designed to encourage residents to keep their surroundings clean and ensure a healthy environment.

‎Also speaking, the Patron of the Movement said the sanitation exercise was necessary to complement government efforts in maintaining environmental hygiene. He explained that the association advocates good governance through training, sensitization, and initiatives that promote community development.

‎The Director of Media and Entrepreneurship of the Association, Comrade Salihu Banjiram, identified lapses in leadership and called for reforms and behavioral change in the process of electing good leaders. He stressed that taking part in self-motivated community activities such as sanitation would help promote accountability and civic responsibility.

‎A resident of the Shagari community, Mrs. Esther Dwafni, described cleanliness as the foundation of a healthy society. She urged women to maintain clean homes and avoid improper waste disposal.

‎The Movement for Good Governance Multipurpose Cooperative Society advocates good governance, civic orientation, and skill acquisition programs aimed at building a thriving and responsible society.
