APC has won All Local Government Chairmanship and Councillorship positions in Gombe State.




The ruling All Progressive Congress APC has won all the eleven local government Chairmanship positions and one hundred and fourteen Councillorship Councillorship seats in just concluded local government election in Gombe State.


Announcing the results, the Returning Officer Gombe State Local Government Elections, Saidu Shehu Awak, said  the APC candidates have won all the Councillorship positions in one hundred and fourteen wards unopposed and the party has also emerged winner in all the eleven local government Chairmanship seats in the state.


According to him,about  five political parties including PDP, ANPP, YPP, ZLP, and Accord had been participated in the exercise.


The Returning Officer thanked the political parties that participated in the exercise and the citizens of Gombe State for the peaceful conduct of the election.


Speaking on behalf of the participating political parties, the Chairman Inter-Party Advisory Council IPAC, who double as State Chairman Accord Party Alh Muhammad Adamu has accepted the defeat and congratulated the ruling APC for winning the election as well as expressing happiness for his party that became second position in the exercise.

Jambutu got new Chairman of PCRC.

Stakeholders in Jambutu ward in Yola North Local government of Adamawa state have been urged to unite and work together for peace and development of the ward and the State. This call was made by the New Chairman of Police Community Relation Committee PCRC Jamubtu ward, Adamu Jingi shortly after he was appointed. Adamu Jingi called for synergy between all stakeholders and to support security agencies for the development of the ward and the entire State. Adamu also advised politician to engage the youth through skills acquisition training which will help them to become self reliance. While calling on the youth to be productive always, the newly appointed chairman also called on them to always seek jobs as their dignity in the society depended on how they contribute to the growth and development of the communities they came from.
