2025: IGP FELICITATES NIGERIANS, RESIDENTS ON NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS.








As the celebrate the New Year, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, extend heartfelt felicitations to all Nigerians and residents, wishing them a joyous and prosperous New Year. In this season of joy, reflection, and hope, the IGP acknowledges the resilience and determination of the Nigerian people amid challenges faced in the past year.



Force Public Relation Officer Headquaters Abuja, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi stated this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Abuja.



He Emphasizing the importance of community engagement and a people-centric approach to policing, the IGP has reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force's dedication to enhancing public safety and security through a more community-oriented and people-focused policing strategy.


 IGP calls on all Nigerians to actively participate in building a secure and peaceful nation by partnering with the Police, remaining vigilant and reporting any suspicious activities while maintaining open channels of communication with the Police and other law enforcement agencies. 


As we usher in the New Year 2025, the Nigeria Police Force remains committed to protecting the lives and property of all citizens. Together, we can create a safer and more secure environment to promote growth in all sectors of our country.

The Adamawa State Police Command regrets to confirm a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred on 3rd June, 2026, at about 1:50 p.m. along the Narehi area of Girei-Song Local Government Areas. Police Public Relation OfficerAdamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje  discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. The unfortunate incident involved a military Gun truck travelling from Gombi towards Yola and a commercial Hummer bus conveying five (5) passengers from Yola to Mubi. Preliminary findings reveals that both vehicles were involved in a head-on collision, resulting in the commercial bus flipped over and burst into flames. Tragically, all five passengers aboard the Hummer bus were burnt to death after the vehicle caught fire following the collision. ASUU MODIBBO ADAMA UNIVERSITY BRANCH COMMENCED TWO WEEK WARNING STRIKE.

  By Alhassan Haladu Yola. ‎The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Modibbo Adama University (MAU) Yola branch, has commenced a two-week warning strike in compliance with the directive of the union’s national body over unresolved demands with the Federal Government. ‎ ‎The Chairperson of ASUU, MAU Yola branch, Comrade Modibbo Muhammed Buba, disclosed this in a statement issued shortly after the union’s congress held at the university. ‎ ‎According to Comrade Buba, the media interaction became necessary for two main reasons — to brief the public on the state of the union’s engagement with the Federal Government concerning outstanding issues, and to clarify the notice of action issued by the National Executive Council (NEC) of ASUU on 29th September 2025. ‎ ‎He said the NEC meeting had expressed concern over the Federal Government’s neglect of the university system and its persistent refusal to meet the union’s longstanding demands. NSCDC Adamawa State Command Deploys 2,521 Personnel for Easter Festivitie

By Alhassan Haladu Yola. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Adamawa State Command, has deployed  2,521 personnel* across the state to ensure a safe and peaceful Easter celebration. The State Commandant, Comdt Idris Bande, issued the directive for the massive deployment to provide adequate safety and security for lives and property, as well as to protect all critical national assets and infrastructure within Adamawa State during the Easter period. Public Relation Officer of the Command Adamawa state DSC Amidu Nyako Baba discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.
