Adamawa Dep Gov Luads Saudi For Donating Food Items To 2,450 Vulnerable Households











Adamawa state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, has appreciated Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for donating  food items to 2,450 vulnerable households in the state.


Addressing the delegation in her office Wednesday, Farauta  stressed that  the support would  ameliorate  sufferings of the people, especially during Ramadan period.


She urged for concerted efforts in tackling vulnerability which keep increasing, whenever catastrophe occur.


"All hands must be on deck to bring socour to people".


"We have been together with NEMA working for the state.


"I thank Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for bringing the support to us".


The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), has donated essential food items to 2,450 vulnerable households in the state. 


The initiative, targeted at internally displaced persons (IDPs), orphans, widows, the elderly, and other at-risk individuals across different communities is part of the ETA'AM Basket Project in the Federal Republic of Nigeria 2025, aims to provide much-needed relief to families facing food insecurity in the state.


The food assistance program is implemented in partnership with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and aligns with KSrelief’s mission of supporting humanitarian efforts globally. 


The donation consists of staple food items that will help improve nutrition and sustain families in need during the Holy Month of Ramadan.


Speaking at the official flag-off ceremony held at Damare IDPs Camp in Girei LGA,  State, the Director General of NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, who was ably represented by Mr. Onibode A. Bandele, Director of Planning, Research, and Forecasting, expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continued support to Nigeria.
