Muslims Council Adamawa state Release Eigth Inmates in Adamawa.
As Muslims entered the last Ten days in the holy month of Ramadan Muslim Council in Adamawa state has distributed food and non food items to three Nigeria correctional centers in yola south, Yolde Pate and Yola North, Local government areas of Adamawa state.
Chairman Muslim Council Adamawa State Alhaji Gambo Jika who led the delegation of the council during the visit to the Nigeria correctional Services across Yola South and Yola North Local governments in Adamawa State.
Alhaji Gambo Jika explained that the reason for the visit was to help in securing the release of the inmates and to advise them to avoid anything capable of bringing them back to the same crime committed
Alhaji Jika noted that the last Ten days of Ramadan are very important to Muslims, were they use the opportunity to redouble their efforts on ibadat such as giving charity to orphans and the needy which formed part of their decision to initiate the visit to the Correctional centres
HeUrged youth to desist from drug abuse, and any criminal activities, which will help them become good ambassadors in the society.
The chairman called on parents to always ve prayerful to their children to seek Allah's protection against anything evil
The Muslim Council Freed at least Eight Inmates from the three Correctional Centres visited and gave them Items like bags of rice, cartons of sugar detergents, among others.
In their different responses Deputy controller of Correctional centre Yola South Ibrahim Isma ila Musa, Deputy Controller Correctional Centre Yolde Pate Usman Ganbaki, Deputy Controller Muhammed Juta Jimeta Correctional Centre, they Commended the Muslims Council for the gesture which they described as releif to the conditions of the inmates.
He called on the other organizations and individuals to emulate the Muslims Council by coming to the aid of inmates in correctional centres
