Shagari Muslim Ummul Orphans and Indigent Vocational Training Centre, Yola Launches Initiative

The Shagari Muslim Ummul Orphans and Indigent Vocational Training Centre, Yola has kicked off its inaugural training programme with over 25 enthusiastic candidates. While addressing the trainees, Shehu Usman Aliyu, Chairman of the Orphans and Indigent Welfare Committee, emphasized that the training's primary objective is to empower these individuals economically and socially, providing them with a sense of belonging.


The Chairman urged the trainees to take the programme seriously, enabling them to become valuable contributors to themselves and the society. Alhaji Abubakar Ahmed, Coordinator of the training center, outlined the center's plans to equip youths with diverse skills, fostering economic independence and future contributions to the state's growth.


As a newly established community-based training center, Alhaji Abubakar appealed for support from stakeholders and government authorities, highlighting the programmme's significance in promoting economic, social, and security development.


The instructors, led by Mallam Muhammed Dalhatu, assured that they would provide comprehensive training to keep the candidates away from criminal tendencies and enable them to positively impact on the society.


Maimuna Shehu, speaking on behalf of the trainees, expressed gratitude to the Shagari Muslim Ummul Orphans and Indigent committee for initiating this life-changing programme. She pledged that the trainees would take the training seriously, aiming to become not only employed and employees but valuable members of the society.


The centre welcomes candidates from all walks of life, regardless of their background or affiliation.
