FRSC RS3.1 ADAMAWA SECTOR EMBER MONTHS SPECIAL OPERATIONS TODAY 24TH DECEMBER 2025

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Adamawa Sector Command, in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Yola Office, today 24th December, 2025, carried out a special Ember Months Safety Operation along the Welcome to Yola Gate.

The operation was led by the Sector Commander, CC Abdulmaliq Dama Bello, and was aimed at enhancing road safety, reducing traffic crashes, and sensitizing motorists on safe driving practices during the festive period.


During the exercise, officers of FRSC and NEMA engaged motorists through on-the-spot sensitization, emphasizing the dangers of speeding, overloading, reckless driving, drunk driving, and the importance of seat belt usage. Motorists were also reminded to ensure vehicle roadworthiness and observe all traffic regulations, especially during the increased vehicular movement associated with the Yuletide season.


As part of the safety awareness campaign, the Sector Commander led the distribution of FRSC-customized bottled water to motorists, encouraging them to stay hydrated, remain alert, and avoid fatigue while driving.


The exercise recorded positive feedback and cooperation from motorists, who appreciated the proactive approach of FRSC and NEMA in ensuring safer roads during the festive season.


The Adamawa Sector Command reiterates its commitment to sustained enforcement, education, and collaboration with sister agencies to ensure zero tolerance for road traffic crashes throughout the Ember Months and beyond.
