AIG AKINWALE RECEIVES NIGERIAN HOTEL ASSOCIATION, ADAMAWA STATE CHAPTER ON COURTESY VISIT.

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 3 Headquarters, Yola, AIG Akinwale Kunle Adeniran, on Thursday received members of the Nigerian Hotel Association, Adamawa State on a courtesy and strategic security engagement visit at the Zone 3 Police Headquarters, Yola.


Zone 3 Yola Police Public Relation Officer SP Aminu Umar Bashir discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.


The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Association,  HRH Samuel Adamu Duchi, alongside members of his executive council and other key stakeholders within the hospitality sector across the State.


Speaking during the engagement, the Chairman expressed profound appreciation to the Assistant Inspector General of Police and personnel of the Nigeria Police Force for their professionalism, operational resilience, and sustained crime prevention strategies geared towards maintaining peace, public safety, and law enforcement within Adamawa State and the Nation at large.


He further commended the Police for their unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property, critical assets while emphasizing the vital role of inter-agency collaboration and intelligence sharing in strengthening security architecture within hotel facilities and other public environments.


The Chairman also highlighted concerns relating to hospitality security management, customer protection protocols, and surveillance measures within hotel premises, stressing the importance of continuous synergy between hotel operators and security agencies in combating criminality, cyber-related fraud, trafficking, and other emerging security threats.


In his response, the AIG warmly welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force towards proactive policing, intelligence-led operations, and community-based security partnerships aimed at ensuring a safe and conducive environment for residents, visitors, and investors.


The AIG assured the Association of the Police Force’s readiness to sustain operational collaboration with hotel owners and managers through effective information dissemination, rapid response mechanisms, and strategic crime detection measures.


He further advised hotel proprietors and operators to enhance their internal security frameworks by implementing strict guest profiling procedures, identity verification systems, surveillance monitoring, and proper documentation of customers, particularly unidentified or suspicious individuals.


The AIG emphasized the need for vigilance, timely intelligence reporting, and adherence to standard security protocols capable of preventing the infiltration of criminal elements into hospitality establishments.

He also urged the Association to maintain robust communication channels with security agencies, noting that effective security management remains a collective responsibility requiring strategic cooperation, mutual trust, and continuous stakeholder engagement.


The visit concluded with goodwill messages, mutual appreciation, and renewed commitments from both parties towards strengthening security collaboration and enhancing public safety within Adamawa State and beyond.
