FRSC ADAMAWA SECTOR COMMAND DEPLOYS 1,300 PERSONNEL, 75 SPECIAL MARSHALS FOR 2026 EID EL-KABIR SPECIAL OPERATIONS

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), RS3.1 Adamawa Sector Command, has deployed a total of 1,300 personnel comprising regular marshals and 75 Special Marshals for the 2026 Eid El-Kabir Special Operations across the state.

The special operations, which commenced on Monday 25th May and will run through Sunday 31st May 2026, are part of the Corps’ nationwide strategic intervention programme aimed at ensuring safer roads, free flow of traffic and prompt rescue services during the festive period characterized by increased vehicular movement. 


The Adamawa State Sector Commander, Corps Commander Ibrahim A Sadiq, stated that the Command has adequately mobilized personnel and operational logistics to cover critical routes and identified flashpoints across the state in order to reduce road traffic crashes, fatalities and injuries during the Sallah celebrations.


According to him, the Command has also deployed patrol vehicles, ambulances, tow trucks, operational motorcycles and other traffic management facilities to strategic locations for effective patrol, enforcement and emergency response.


He disclosed that the operation will focus on major traffic offences known to contribute to road crashes, including:


Excessive speeding, Dangerous driving, Wrongful overtaking, Overloading, Use of phone while driving, Use of expired and worn-out tyres, Driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, Route violations and obstruction,Passenger manifest violations



The Sector Commander further directed all Unit Commanders and officers to sustain aggressive visibility patrols, public enlightenment campaigns and effective traffic control throughout the period of the operations.



He warned motorists against reckless driving and urged road users to cooperate with FRSC personnel and other security agencies deployed across the highways.


CC Ibrahim A Sadiq also called on commercial drivers to ensure proper vehicle maintenance before embarking on journeys, especially with the commencement of the rainy season, stressing the importance of functional wipers, lights, brakes and tyres.


The Command reassured the motoring public of its commitment towards ensuring a peaceful, safe and crash-free Eid El-Kabir celebration in Adamawa State.


Members of the public are encouraged to make use of the FRSC toll-free emergency number 122 in cases of crashes, obstructions or other traffic-related emergencies requiring immediate intervention.


The FRSC Adamawa Sector Command wishes all Muslim faithful and residents of the state a peaceful and joyous Eid El-Kabir celebration.
