As preparations intensify for the 2027 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced that it has concluded all necessary arrangements to ensure a hitch-free festive period without road crashes before, during, and after the celebrations.

The Adamawa State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Ibrahim Abubakar Sadiq, disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Yola.

According to the Sector Commander, the corps has put in place adequate measures to guarantee peaceful Sallah celebrations devoid of accidents and loss of lives. He explained that FRSC personnel have already been deployed to various traffic-prone areas across the state to ease congestion and ensure free flow of traffic.

He noted that the command has also intensified public enlightenment campaigns at mosques, motor parks, and other public places to educate road users on safety measures, stressing that the initiative would help reduce road crashes in Adamawa State and across the country.

Commander Ibrahim Abubakar Sadiq further stated that officers have been stationed at strategic locations to monitor highways, supervise driving activities, and ensure that vehicles are roadworthy for safe movement during the festive period.

The Sector Commander advised motorists to remain focused while driving and ensure they possess valid driver’s licenses to avoid unnecessary problems. He also warned parents against allowing underage or irresponsible children to drive vehicles, emphasizing that proper parental supervision is essential to preventing accidents and safeguarding lives during the celebrations.
