Jamilu Gwamna Emarges APC Governorship Candidate In Gombe








All Progressives Congress, APC, in Gombe State has declared Dr. Jamilu  Gwamna as the winner of the party’s governorship primary election ahead of the 2027 general elections.


Announcing the results at the APC State Secretariat in Gombe, Chairman of the Governorship Primary Election Committee, Senator Sani Danladi, said Dr. Gwamna emerged victorious after polling two hundred and forty-seven thousand, one hundred and sixty-one votes.


His closest rivals, former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, secured twelve thousand, one hundred and twenty votes, while former Minister of Transportation, Senator Said Ahmed Alkali, polled eleven thousand, six hundred and twelve votes.


Senator Danladi described the exercise as peaceful, transparent, and in compliance with party guidelines as well as the provisions of the Electoral Act.


He also commended party members across the eleven local government areas of the state for their orderly conduct and impressive turnout during the direct primary election.


The collation process was monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, security personnel, election observers, members of the media, and senior party officials.

NSCDC Adamawa State Command Deploys 2,521 Personnel for Easter Festivitie

The State Commandant, Comdt Idris Bande, issued the directive for the massive deployment to provide adequate safety and security for lives and property, as well as to protect all critical national assets and infrastructure within Adamawa State during the Easter period.
