NSCDC Deploys 1,352 Personnel for Eid-el-Kabir Security in Adamawa

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Adamawa State Command, has intensified efforts to strengthen security during the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations across the 21 local government areas of the state.
The Public Relations Officer of the Corps in Adamawa State, DSC Amidu Nyako Baba, disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Yola.
DSC Amidu Nyako Baba stated that the NSCDC, under the leadership of Commandant Idris D. Bande, has deployed 1,352 personnel to ensure adequate security at Eid prayer grounds and celebration venues across Adamawa State.
According to him, the Corps has put all necessary measures in place to prevent any security breach during the festivities. He advised members of the public to cooperate with security agencies by providing useful intelligence that could help avert threats capable of disrupting the celebrations.
Amidu Nyako further assured residents that the Corps remains fully prepared to protect lives and property, as well as maintain lasting peace across the state. He noted that officers would conduct patrols in neighborhoods, strategic locations, motor parks, Eid prayer grounds, and other public gathering places to ensure peaceful and successful celebrations.
He also called on residents of Adamawa State to support and cooperate with the Corps to ensure a hitch-free celebration, while urging parents to closely monitor their children to prevent them from engaging in any form of misconduct during the festive period.
