By Alhassan Haladu Yola.

The Executive Secretary of the Adamawa State Post Primary Schools Management Board (PPSMB), Mr. Birsan Penuel, has urged the 5,000 newly recruited teachers employed by the Adamawa State Government under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to remain committed to their responsibilities and uphold high teaching standards to ensure the delivery of quality education across the state.

Mr. Penuel gave the advice while speaking with journalists in Yola, shortly after the successful completion of the screening exercise for the newly recruited teachers.

He disclosed that all successful candidates had been issued their appointment and posting letters without delay, explaining that the recruitment exercise is part of the state government's efforts to strengthen the education sector and address the shortage of qualified teachers in public schools.

The Executive Secretary urged the teachers to be disciplined, obedient to their supervisors, and maintain a cordial working relationship with parents to promote effective learning. He stressed that the Board would not tolerate negligence, absenteeism, or any form of unprofessional conduct.

He further advised the teachers to remain dedicated to their duties, noting that they have a critical role to play in shaping the future of children and contributing to the development of the state through quality education.

Mr. Penuel assured that the Board remains committed to implementing policies and programmes aimed at improving the standard of education in public primary and junior secondary schools across Adamawa State.

He warned that any teacher found wanting in the discharge of his or her responsibilities would face appropriate disciplinary action, urging the newly recruited staff to justify the confidence reposed in them through hard work and professionalism.

The Executive Secretary commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for approving the recruitment of 5,000 teachers, describing the initiative as a significant milestone in the administration's drive to improve access to quality education across the state.

According to him, the governor has consistently demonstrated commitment to the education sector through the provision of textbooks, teaching materials, and other learning facilities to public primary and junior secondary schools.

Mr. Penuel called on the people of Adamawa State to continue supporting the Fintiri administration's efforts to transform the education sector and sustain peace and development across the state.
