GOSUPDA to Demolish Illegal Structures in Gombe Metropolis

The Gombe State Urban Planning and Development Authority (GOSUPDA) has reiterated its commitment to demolishing unauthorized buildings and structures within the Gombe metropolis.

The Executive Chairman of the agency, Bappayo Samanja, disclosed this to journalists shortly after a demolition exercise targeting illegal structures along Ojir Quarters to the Old Mile Three Roundabout in Gombe.

Samanja stated that the agency would not hesitate to take action against any illegal structure erected on government land, public spaces, or in violation of urban planning regulations.

According to him, the Gombe State Government, under the leadership of Governor Inuwa Yahaya, is committed to beautifying the state capital and ensuring orderly urban development.

He therefore urged residents to refrain from building on waterways, road setbacks, and government property.

The GOSUPDA chairman further warned that the agency would continue to remove any unauthorized buildings or attachments found in illegal locations within the metropolis.

He called on residents to support the infrastructure development initiatives of Governor Inuwa Yahaya by complying with planning regulations and avoiding the construction of illegal structures along roadsides and public facilities.
