COMMANDANT NASIRU SALEH PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO THE PALACE OF THE LAMIDO OF ADAMAWA

The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Adamawa State Command, Commandant Nasiru Saleh, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the Palace of the Lamido of Adamawa as part of efforts to strengthen the existing cordial relationship between the Corps and the revered traditional institution.




Public Relation Office NSCDC Adamawa state Command DSC Amidu Nyako Baba discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.


The State Commandant was received on behalf of His Royal Highness, the Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, CFR, Chairman, Adamawa State Council of Chiefs, by the Galadiman Adamawa, Alhaji Mustafa Aminu, who warmly welcomed the delegation to the palace.


Speaking during the visit, the Galadiman Adamawa conveyed the appreciation of the Lamido for the thoughtful gesture of the courtesy visit. He acknowledged the significant contributions of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in promoting peace, protecting critical national assets and infrastructure, safeguarding lives and property, and complementing other security agencies in maintaining law and order across Adamawa State.


He further assured the State Commandant of the Emirate Council's unwavering support and cooperation throughout his tenure, stressing that the traditional institution remains committed to partnering with security agencies in fostering peaceful coexistence and sustainable development in the state.


The Galadiman also offered prayers for the success of Commandant Nasiru Saleh's administration, asking Almighty Allah to grant him wisdom, strength, and divine guidance in the discharge of his responsibilities.


Earlier, Commandant Nasiru Saleh expressed appreciation to the Lamido of Adamawa and the Emirate Council for the warm reception accorded his delegation. He reaffirmed the Command's commitment to sustaining effective collaboration with traditional institutions, recognising their vital role in community engagement, intelligence gathering, conflict resolution, and the promotion of peace and security.


The visit concluded with goodwill messages, prayers, and a renewed commitment by both the NSCDC and the Adamawa Emirate to continue working together in the collective interest of peace, security, and development in Adamawa State.
