By Alhassan Haladu Yola.

Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command have arrested two suspects for allegedly defrauding unsuspecting customers by selling them dummy phones instead of original working devices.

Police Public Relation Officer Adamawa State Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.

The suspects, Audu Abubakar and Nasiru Hassan, both residents of Bauchi Street, Yola North LGA, were apprehended following complaints from victims who discovered that the phones purchased were non-functional replicas.

Items recovered from the suspects include a number of dummy phones and other exhibits.

The Commissioner of Police, *CP Kabiru Umar Hassan, fdc*, has directed that the suspects be thoroughly investigated and charged to court upon completion of investigation.

The Command urges members of the public to be vigilant and patronize only accredited phone dealers. Customers are advised to test devices thoroughly and demand receipts before making payment.
