TSANGAYA TEACHERS PLEDGE TO REVIVE ISLAMIC EDUCATION IN ADAMAWA.

The Association of Tsangaya Teachers in Adamawa State has pledged to transform Tsangaya education and reposition Almajiri schools to compete with other learning institutions across the state.
The newly elected Chairman of the Association, Mallam Abdullahi Idris, made the pledge while addressing journalists in Yola.
According to Idris, the association is entering a new era of leadership that is focused on strengthening the structure and quality of Tsangaya education in all parts of the state.
"The association was not effectively managed in the past, but the current executives are determined to restore the reputation and dignity of Tsangaya schools."
He pledges to work for the integration of modern education with Islamic studies, to enable the Almajiris acquire both religious and western education, with a view to contributing to the educationional development in the state.
The Chairman also reaffirmed the association’s commitment to promoting unity among members and working closely with parents to ensure the smooth improvement of Almajiri education without unnecessary challenges.
He called on parents to take active interest in the welfare and learning of their children after enrolling them in Tsangaya schools.
Idris further appealed to community leaders to support and cooperate with Tsangaya schools to ensure their growth and development.
"Under my leadership, we will implement concrete measures to expand Tsangaya education, to promote peace, social development and the overall progress of Adamawa State."
