AIG AGANS-IRABOR RECEIVES DELEGATION OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED POLICE OFFICERS OF NIGERIA (NARPON), ADAMAWA STATE CHAPTER, ON COURTESY VISIT.

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 3 Police Headquarters, Yola, *AIG Osagie John Agans-Irabor, psc,* alongside members of the Zonal Management Team, received a delegation of the National Association of Retired Police Officers of Nigeria (NARPON), Adamawa State Chapter, on a courtesy visit to the Zone 3 Headquarters, Yola.
Police Public Relation Officer Zone 3 Command Yola SP Aminu Umar Bashir stated this in a statement
The visit was led by the Chairperson of NARPON, Adamawa State Chapter, *ACP Dominic Yadubiya (Rtd),* who expressed appreciation to the AIG and members of his management team for the warm reception accorded to the delegation. He also commended the Zone for its commitment to maintaining peace, security, and public safety within its area of responsibility.
The Chairperson assured the AIG of NARPON's continued support and cooperation in the discharge of the Zone's responsibilities, particularly in the areas of security, public sensitization, community engagement, and crime prevention. He emphasized the willingness of retired officers to contribute their wealth of experience and professional knowledge towards strengthening policing and community safety.
In his response, AIG Agans-Irabor thanked Almighty God for keeping him alive, sound, and healthy to witness the blessed day. He also appreciated the leadership and members of NARPON for the courtesy visit. He congratulated the retired officers on their successful retirement after years of meritorious and dedicated service to the Nigeria Police Force.
The AIG emphasized the importance of sustaining the cordial relationship between serving and retired police officers, describing retired officers as valuable reservoirs of professional knowledge and experience. He noted that although they have retired from active service, their experience remains relevant to the development and improvement of policing.
He therefore solicited their continued guidance, constructive advice, and support whenever necessary.
The AIG further assured the NARPON leadership of the Zone's unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property, prevention of crime, maintenance of public order, and promotion of peaceful coexistence within the Zone. He encouraged members of the association to feel free to reach out to the Zone whenever their experience, guidance, or collaboration could contribute to enhancing security and improving the quality of life of residents.
The visit ended on a positive note, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the bond between serving and retired police officers and working together to promote peace, security, and community development.
