NNPP concluded the Arangement to paticipate LG polls in Taraba.

Ahead of the Saturday local government council's polls, the New Nigeria People's Party NNPP in Taraba State says all is set for the party to go into contest. The State Chairman of the party, Hon. Abdullahi Ade made this known while fielding questions from journalists in his office in Jalingo. He said the party has already necessary arrangements have been concluded including the provision of Agent's tags. According to Hon. Abdullahi Ade, they have six (6) candidates that will contest for the chairmanship at six local government areas of the state comprising Jalingo, Ibi, Yerro, Karim Lamido, Gassol, and Sardauna. For the councilorship, the Chairman further revealed that the party has about forty candidates that contest across the sixteen LGAs of the state. Commenting on the recent endorsement of the People's Democratic Party, PDP's candidates for the local government council's polls by the United Political Parties (NPP) in the state, Hon. Abdullahi Ade said the NNPP did not subscribe to the agreement and emphasized that they will participate in the poll. "We are not part of them and we are not against their decision because they have the right to align with any political party of their choice, and as you can see, these are our agent's tags, therefore, we are not withdrawing from the election and God's willing we will be victorious. "And I will keep repeating that all that we are demanding from the TSIEC is to do justice by conducting a free and fair election. I know the Chairman of the electoral commission, Dr. Danladi Phillip Duwe, is an elderly person and he assured us that whoever wins will be giving his mandate. So, I believe he will justify his words with action because he has done it in the past during the regime of the former Governor, Architect Darius Ishaku where he resisted all the pressures to manipulate the election. Some people think I have a personal relationship with him not knowing that it is only politics that connects us. "Dr. Duwe is more than seventy (70) years old, so, I am optimistic that nobody could influence him to do the wrong thing, and Governor Kefas too, I believe as a Pastor and God fairing, who owned a Church will not subscribe to injustice, therefore, I am optimistic that he might not interfere in the process and he will respect the choice of the people," Ade emphasized. The NNPP Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Ade, however, urged their supporters to come out en masse and vote for their candidates and urged them as well as the people of the state at large to remain peaceful and law-abiding citizens to ensure a rancor-free election comes 18 November 2023.

Stakeholders in Jambutu ward in Yola North Local government of Adamawa state have been urged to unite and work together for peace and development of the ward and the State. This call was made by the New Chairman of Police Community Relation Committee PCRC Jamubtu ward, Adamu Jingi shortly after he was appointed. Adamu Jingi called for synergy between all stakeholders and to support security agencies for the development of the ward and the entire State. Adamu also advised politician to engage the youth through skills acquisition training which will help them to become self reliance.
