Fifty women benefit from Fistula Foundation in Adamawa.
Adamawa state government and stakeholders have been called to double their efforts in the treatment of women suffering from VVF diseases across the State.
This call was made by the chairman, Fistula Foundation of Nigeria Mallam Isa Musa while speaking at the closing training of women who survived from the VVF diseases in the State.
The training was organized by the Fistula Foundation with the support of UNFPA, UNFCU and the ministry of women Affairs Adamawa state held in Yola Adamawa state Capital.
Mallam Isa Musa said the Fistula Foundation have been treating and training women who are affected with the diseases across the Country.
The chairman said, the Fistula Foundation has trained at least Fifty women who survived the disease in Adamawa state, a means to help them sustain their lives in the State.
He stressed that they are training women in Virious skills which Include tailoring, grinding machine, soap making among others.
On her part, the permanent secretary ministry of women Affairs Adamawa state Mr Rifkatu Geandi represented by Director, Rehabilitation of the ministry, Mr Edward Yadzigwa thanked the Foundation for the training and equally advised the beneficiaries to use what they got in the right way for their development and self reliance.
Some of the beneficiaries thanked the Fistula Foundation for helping them with what they can use to start their businesses.
The event was attendad by top officials of the State government, stakeholders, traditional rulers among others.
