Nigerians have been urged to maintain their culture.
Nigerians have been advised always promote cultures in the society for development and boosting the economic in the Country.
This advice was given by the Executive secretary , National Institute Culture Orientation Ado Muhammed Yahuza while making an address at an event organized by NICO in Yola.
Ado Muhammed Yahuza who was represented by North East zonal Director Mrs Jen Anigela said the essence of organizing the programe is to harmonize the people of Nigeria to develop the culture for the peace and unity among Nigerians.
He called on the government and other stakeholders to help and maintain cultures and do whatever it takes to encourage the Nigerian Communities to promote their culture for the development of the Country.
He also advised the younger ones to be united at all time and use their culture wherever they are for peaceful Coexistance in the Country at large.
On his part, the chairman of the occasion Musa Sa'idu thanked and commended NICO for organizing the programe, especially amongst schools which help the youth to understand their culture the more.
He therefore urged parents and Traditional rulers to put more efforts in the development of culture in the country.
Seven secondary schools attended the event which Include G D S S Doubeli, G D S S Capital, GMMC, Air Force Comprehensive school Aliyu Mustafa College, G D S S Viniklang and G G S S Yola.
Highlights of the event includes competetion among the students from various secondary schools in cultural dances, debates, Quiz as well as presentation of gifts to the winners.
