The New wakilin waja emerges.

His Royal Majesty, the Kwandi Nunguraya, Dr. Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II, has turbaned Alh. Muhammad Gajere Ajiya as "Wakilin Waja".
Alh. Muhammad Gajere Ajiya and the new "Wakili Waja" is the elder brother to the past Permanent Secretary Ministry for Local Government Affairs, Mr. Japhet Gajere.
The new "Wakili Waja" has been described as a calmed and peace loving personality which endeared him in the heart of the 1st Class Chief and the Traditional Council hence his turbaning as "Wakilin Waja" in Guyuk Local Government Area. The turbaning ceremony which was held at the palace of Kwandi Nunguraya in Guyuk LGA during the week, was graced by several dignitaries, family members friends and well wishers, who congratulated Alh. Gajere Ajiya, for the honour done to him by the royal father.
Speaking while performing the turbaning ceremony during the week, the Kwandi Nunguraya, congratulated the newly turbaned "Wakili Waja" and charged him to discharge his duties as expected of him in order to promote peace in various communities.
The Paramount Ruler used the opportunity and called on Waja and Lunguda communities to live in peace and strive towards promoting peace, saying that nothing meaningful will be achieved in a society devoid of peace. According to him, life is a circle of contributions which means all his responsibilities should be based on maintaining a good relationship with the people under him for better leadership.
He reminded him that "to whom much is given, much is expected", and urged him to try assiduously and justify the confidence reposed in him by the Paramount Ruler and Traditional Council. On his part, the District Head of Ginakise, who represented by Alh. Mohammed Danjuma Mohammed, expressed gratitude to Almighty God for bringing peace among the Waja and Lunguda communities. Alh. Danjuma, advised the youth to shun acts that will bring about disunity among communities and noted with delight how the people can now coexist peacefully. He further told the gathering that he was among the happiest people to witness the event in peace and serenity and how they were able to stay under one umbrella, adding that peace brings about development, love and unity among people of different tribes and religion. He appreciated the Royal Majesty and the people of Waja for their effort and understanding in ending communal clashes among them, appealing to the "Wakilin Waja" to always make himself available for his subjects to benefit from his leadership. He called on Waja in particular to feel at home whenever they are in Lunguda communities as they can now experience peace and unity which was restored following the concerted effort of all the stakeholders. The District Head appealed to Lunguda communities to continue to show love to the Waja because according to him they are their brothers and sisters. Responding, the new "Wakili Waja" Alh. Muhammad Gajere Ajiya, appreciated HRM, Dr. Kuruhaya Dishon Dansanda II and the Lunguda traditional Council for finding him worthy for honour. Alh. Gajere Ajiya, assured that he discharge his duties as expected by being a good ambassador of the Traditional Council, and appealed for support and cooperation to enable him have a successful leadership. He expressed satisfaction with event as it has finally become a reality and prayed God to continue to grant him the strength and wisdom to maintain peace across the communities. He called on the youth to stay away from anything that will ignite clashes again and admonished them to feel free to come to him for advice and other necessities needed of him for better leadership. The highlight of the occasion was the display of different traditional dances which added color to the historic event.
