Governor Inuwa Yahay of Gombe state Sworn in 11 Locak Government Council chairmen.





Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has charged the newly sworn-in local government Council Chairmen to repay the confidence reposed in them by carrying out their responsibility with fear of God, honesty and accountability.


The Governor gave the charge while addressing the gathering shortly after he presided over the sworn-in of eleven newly elected Council Chairmen in the state.


Governor Inuwa Yahaya urged the newly sworn-in Chairpersons to fully embrace present  reforms of his administration's and develop innovative approaches that are tailored to address the unique needs of their respective local government areas.


The Governor said his administration has introduced various reforms across different sectors aimed at enhancing efficiency and improving service delivery.


Governor Inuwa Yahaya implored the newly sworn-in Chairpersons to extend the hand of friendship and collaboration to all people, irrespective of partisan, ethnic, religious and sectarian differences.


While congratulating the newly sworn-in Chairpersons, the Governor said the election is over and now is the time of governance, urging them to set aside political differences and work together for the collective good of the communities.


Speaking on behalf of the newly sworn-in Council Chairmen the Chairperson of Shongom local government area, Fatima Binta Bello, has thanked  Governor Inuwa Yahaya for given them an opportunity to serve their people and promised to deliver the confidence reposed in them by promoting the well-being, peace and prosperity of the common man through responsive leadership.
