Adamawa State Muslim Council Call for special prayers.






Adamawa State Muslim Council directed all its members across twenty-one Local Government areas in the state to organize a special prayer to seek Allah's intervention to overcome the shortage of rainfall in the state.


The State Chairman of the Council, Mallam Gambo Jika gave the directive while speaking to Journalists at the secretariat of the Council in Yola, after its resolutions about the critical issue facing the state.


Mallam Gambo Jika said the directive issued by the council has become necessary due to the current situation people are facing which Includes shorted rain in rainy sessions.


According to him, the activities are going far but up to now no farming activities started across the state.


So therefore is very important for our members to continue with the prayer at any time to resolve the issue.


Mallam Gambo Jika stressed that the Council considers the issue of hardship facing the country following the breakdown of the economy and removing the subsidy which causes the high price of commodities and petrol in the country.


The Council urged the federal government and stakeholders to do everything possible to tackle the issue to reduce hardship and the development of society.


The Council also considers the issue of electricity in the North East zone which causes many problems in the zone therefore the Council called the government at all levels and TCN to work together to overcome the issue.
