SSANU, NASU Modibbo Adama University Branch Threatens FG over 4 months salaries.

The Senior Staff Association of Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of the Universities (NASU) recently staged a peaceful protest at Modibbo Adama University Yola in Adamawa State.

The purpose of the protest was to demand the payment of four months' outstanding salaries.

During the protest, the Chairmen of SSANU Modibbo Adama University branch, Comrade Michael I Omokoro, and NASU, Comrade Sadiya Mustafa, each made separate speeches urging the federal government to take action and pay their remaining four months' salary to avoid a strike.

They emphasized the importance of the government reaching an agreement with the two associations on this matter.

Comrade Michael Omokoro warned that if the government did not pay on time, the next step would be to call for a nationwide strike across government universities in the country.

Similarly, Comrade Sadiya Mustafa appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to work with the associations to resolve the issue and ensure the payment of their outstanding salaries.

Mustafa also expressed concern about the delay in payment, especially in the context of the economic hardship experienced by Nigerians.
