With a Bruised Image, Yet Wafari Theman Eyes the Dougirei House.

Wafari Theman, once a prominent member of the Adamawa State House of Assembly representing a constituency in Hong Local Government, served from 2011 to 2015 under the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), which later evolved into the All Progressives Congress (APC). After defecting to the APC, Theman served as the State Secretary in Adamawa prior to the 2023 general election, where he sought the governorship but finished last among his party's aspirants.


Since then, Theman has been entangled in controversies involving unfulfilled promises made during contributions in his local church and community associations. This pattern has made him a burden at social functions, leading to his diminishing presence and eventual removal as the APC Secretary and a poor performance in the 2023 party primaries.


In a bid to revive his political career, Theman joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP) as its Vice Chairman in the North East late last year. However, his past associations and actions have cast a shadow over his new role. Allegations of misconduct during his tenure with the APC and the RIFAN agricultural scheme have further tainted his reputation.


Despite claiming to be an evangelist, Theman’s actions have raised questions about his honesty and integrity. Recently, he engaged a senior journalist for an image-laundering write-up in preparation for the 2027 gubernatorial race. The journalist completed the task within the agreed timeline, but Theman has since refused to pay for the services rendered, ignoring calls and messages.


Theman's failure to fulfill this obligation brings his character into question, casting doubt on his suitability for political office. As Adamawa approaches the 2027 elections, constituents are left to ponder if someone with such a questionable record is fit to lead.

Jambutu got new Chairman of PCRC.

Stakeholders in Jambutu ward in Yola North Local government of Adamawa state have been urged to unite and work together for peace and development of the ward and the State. This call was made by the New Chairman of Police Community Relation Committee PCRC Jamubtu ward, Adamu Jingi shortly after he was appointed. Adamu Jingi called for synergy between all stakeholders and to support security agencies for the development of the ward and the entire State. Adamu also advised politician to engage the youth through skills acquisition training which will help them to become self reliance. While calling on the youth to be productive always, the newly appointed chairman also called on them to always seek jobs as their dignity in the society depended on how they contribute to the growth and development of the communities they came from.
