CHAIRMAN YOLA NORTH LGA CONGRATULATES FINTRI, SPEAKER, SSG OTHERS ON 64th NIGERIA’s ANNIVERSARY

The Executive Chairman, Yola North local Government Barr Jibrin Ibrahim  has on behalf of management and staff of Yola North, felicitated with the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, and his Deputy, Pof Kaletapwa George Farauta as Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence Day.


Also felicitated with the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley and other members of the 8th Assembly, as well as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Barrister Awwal D. Tukur, Chief of Staff Government House Dr. Edgar Amos and other members of the State Executive Council.


He also felicitated with the local government council chairmen, Adamawa State Council of Emirs and Chiefs, captains of the industries, members of the Business Community and the people of Adamawa on the occasion of Nigeria at 64.


While wishing the people of the state a fruitful celebrations also used the medium and called on the tax payers in the state to complement the effort of the Fintiri led administration and pay their taxes for the overall development of Adamawa state.

Breaking News: Muhammad Ahmad Song (Boboi/Baka)Passes Away at 83

By Ibrahim Abubakar Jimeta Yola. In a solemn announcement, the family of Bobboi Muhammad Ahmad shared the news of his passing today, December 11, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on January 1, 1941 (21 Zul Hajj 1358), Bobboi Muhammad Ahmad lived a life marked by dedication to his faith and family. He is survived by a large and loving family, including 13 sons, 6 daughters, and 77 grandchildren. Known for his strong family ties and leadership within his community, his legacy is further carried on by his only surviving sister. In reflecting on his life, the family recalled his fondness for caring for pigeons, with 7 still in his care at the time of his passing. "Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un," his family stated in a message, expressing their full submission to the will of Allah. His passing marks a significant loss, and his memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May Allah grant him eternal rest and provide strength to his family during this time....

INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION APPOINTS NEW LEADERS IN ADAMAWA STATE

This appointment marks a significant step forward in the Commission’s mission to promote and safeguard human rights within the region. Alongside this, Hassan Alh. Ahmadu Maiha has been named the State Deputy Coordinator for Adamawa State. Both appointments are expected to enhance the Commission’s ability to reach grassroots communities and respond swiftly to human rights violations throughout the state. The IHRC has also established strong collaborations with key government agencies in Adamawa, ensuring efficient service delivery and a united effort to uphold human rights standards in the state.
