Old Students Association of Government senior secondary school Numan celebrated it's 60th anniversary of establishment.

The Old students Association of Government Senior Secondary School Numan formerly known as Bronnum Alumni Association has celebrated its 60th anniversary of establishment.
The celebration which was held at the premises of the school, was attended by prominent and other personalities from among the former and non former students of the school.
Speaking on “The Role of Bronnum Old Students Association in the Present Dispensation,” the Keynote Speaker at the ceremony, Professor Oliver I. Bongotons, from the Department of Arts and Social Science Education, Christian Religious Studies Section, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, said the topic suits their uniqueness as school mates of many years saying that the reunion provided them with a good opportunity to see the faces of themselves after 60 years which he described as a testimony of the goodness of divine providence.
As one of the alumni of the GSS Numan, Professor Oliver said present dispensation is a tough time, characterized by economic hardship; saying therefore that there are 3 cardinal roles which the association should perform to include academic, social and moral support for the alma-mater, the present students and the needy members.
In his address,the Royal Father of the Day, Hamma Bachama, Homon Daniel Ismaila Shagah ,represented by the District Head of Gywana Dr. Agoso Bamaiyi congratulated the members of the alumni saying that the milestone achieved was a testament to commitment and excellence, saying that GSS Numan produced high profile personalities who are adding value to the country.
Earlier , the National President of the Bronnum old students Association who was the former secretary in the Federal Ministry of Defence , Alhaji Aliyu Ismaila Numan , said Bronnum Secondary School was established in 1964 by the visionary and dedicated missionary Dr Neil Bronnum which was founded as a beacon of academic excellence anf moral values.
He therefore urged the alumni of the Association to continue give contributions to uplift the legacy of the school and also called on the current students as the torch-bearers of their heritage, to embrace the virtues of discipline, hard work and integrity that define Government Secondary School Numan.
Highlights of the occasion was award giving to some dignitaries and personalities, goodwill messages, presentation of free JAMB registration forms for current students of the GSS Numan among others.
