Adamawa Primary Healthcare Agency vow to improve Health of children across Adamawa State.

Children under 5 years have been categorised as the most vulnerable people in the society who without proper health care and vaccination are at risk of losing their lives.


This was part of the messages delivered during the pre-campaign awareness meeting by the Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Management Agency which has taken steps to educate people on the polio, misseals and other disease outbreaks across the state.


According to the Director Advocacy Communication and Social Mobilization of the agency David Zakariya, the meeting is a routine excercise that enables the agency prepare for any upcoming campaign on any disease outbreak for proper implementation.



He said the campaign will be carried out in all the 21 local governments in Adamawa state for wider awareness, calling on parents and caregivers to support the vaccinators and the health workers to achieve the goal of polio free Adamawa.


The director further stated that plans have been put in place to ensure smooth campaign as resources and funds have been mobilised adequately.


The outbreak campaign is expected to start between the 26th to 30th April 2025.
