NSCDC ADAMAWA COMMAND PROMOTE IT PERSONAL.
The Adamawa State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Idris Dahiru Bande, has called on personnel to uphold the values of trust, honesty, and accountability in order to enhance the image of the organization.
He made the call while addressing officers at the command headquarters in Yola, following the commendable act of one of his personnel, Abubakar Abdulkadir Mayos, who returned a lost bag containing five hundred dollars and three hundred Saudi Riyals, and other valuables worth approximately ₦850,000.
The bag belonged to Mainuna Salihu, an intending pilgrim from Taraba State scheduled for the 2025 Hajj from Yola International Airport.
Commandant Bande applauded Mayos not only for his integrity but also for helping to project a positive image of the Corps.
He announced that the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, had approved Mayos' immediate promotion from Corps Assistant II to Corps Assistant I in recognition of his honesty.
In his remarks, Mayos expressed gratitude to the command for the recognition and emphasized that returning the bag was in line with the Corps' core values of honesty and integrity.
A representative of the National Hajj Commission also commended the NSCDC for the officer's conduct, noting that such acts promote a positive image of the Corps and called on other security agencies to emulate this standard of integrity.
