NSCDC Operatives Ban Illegal Mining in Adamawa
In line with the directive of the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Abubakar Ahmed Audi, PhD, to clamp down on illegal mining activities across the country, the Adamawa State Command, under the leadership of Commander Idris Dahiru, has recorded a major breakthrough.

Acting on credible intelligence and in alignment with the National Mining Policy, NSCDC operatives successfully dismantled illegal mining sites in Dumne, Adamawa State. During the operation, over 30 tons of illegally mined fluoride were recovered, valued at several millions of naira.
Several suspects were apprehended during the raid and are currently in custody. Investigations are ongoing, and charges are expected to be filed soon.
This operation marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts by the Adamawa State Government and the NSCDC to combat illegal mining and protect the environment. Authorities have reiterated that illegal mining remains banned in Adamawa State.
