A non-governmental organization in Adamawa State, Dadah Foundation for Educational Empowerment (DAFEE), has reiterated its commitment to upholding educational standards and promoting the sustainability of girl-child education.

The Executive Director of the Foundation, Alhaji Usman Dadah, made this known during a press briefing held at the Foundation’s head office in Jalingo, Yolde Pate, Yola, aimed at sensitizing the public on the activities and goals of the Foundation.

Alhaji Usman Dadah stated that the vision and mission of the Foundation were designed to serve as a special-purpose vehicle for human capital development, peaceful coexistence, and genuine social progress, contributing to a better and more prosperous Adamawa State and Nigeria at large.

He highlighted the Foundation’s collaboration with several networks and groups, including the Network of Adamawa Non-governmental Organizations (NANGO), the Education in Emergency Working Group, and the Adamawa State Basic Education Group, among other partners, pointing out that the Foundation’s core thematic area is education, which it addresses through empowerment initiatives, interventions, and advocacy.

Alhaji Dadah, a former General Manager of Adamawa Television Corporation (ATV) Yola, emphasized that his background in both media and education has been instrumental in shaping the Foundation's projects, such as Second Chance Education (also known as Alternative Education), literacy and numeracy programs, peer education, life skills and health education, out-of-school children education, Almajiri education, and skills acquisition training.

He called on well-meaning individuals, philanthropists, key stakeholders, government actors, donor agencies, and development partners to support the Foundation’s efforts in order to scale up its impact.
