NSCDC Adamawa State Command Ensures Adequate Security for Eid El-Kabir Celebrations*.






As the Eid El-Kabir celebrations approach, the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Adamawa State Command, ID Bande, has directed the deployment of 1,600 personnel across all 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state



Public Relation Officer Adamawa State Command DSC AMIDU NYAKO BABA discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.




This move is to ensure maximum security before, during, and after the Eid festivities, in a bid to maintain peace, safety, and the protection of lives and property.


The deployment is aimed at safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructures, public spaces such as Eid grounds, markets, parks, and recreational centres. In his statement, Commandant ID Bande emphasized that the NSCDC personnel have been strategically positioned to curb any attempts at disrupting the celebrations or engaging in criminal activities during the holiday period.


He further charged the officers to remain professional, competent, and diligent while respecting the rights of the civil populace in the course of their duties. 


The Commandant reiterated the NSCDC’s commitment to ensuring a peaceful and hitch-free Eid El-Kabir celebration.


In preparation for the festivities, the Adamawa State Command has already conducted a thorough vulnerability assessment and developed an operational strategy tailored to combat any criminal activities. These measures are designed to rid the state of any potential threats while eradicating nefarious activities and enhancing overall public safety.


In a bid to strengthen collaboration and improve the efficiency of security operations, the Corps will work closely with other sister security agencies. The corps also welcomed credible intelligence reports from the public to aid in the timely identification and neutralization of threats.
