Adamawa state government trained youth and women in twenty one local government.
Adamawa state government has trained youth and women with the various skills across Twenty One local governments in the state.
Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, disclosed this, while speaking during the celebration ceremony of the Cooperative International Day 2025, held at Ribadau square Yola, Adamawa state Capital.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri represented by commissioner of Entrepreneurship Alhaji HammaJumba Gatugel, said the Adamawa state government engaged many youth and women with the various skills acquisition, including tailoring, shoe making, mechanical engineering skills among others.
The governor stressed that his administration has continued to give youth and women fifty thousand cash under the PAWECA programme in order for them to be self reliant in the state.
He thanked the organizers of the event, saying that celebrating world international day of cooperative is important for the advocacy for for skills upgrade among the society.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri advised entire people of Adamawa state to support Fintiri led administration to enable him continue the developmental projects across the state.
On his part Permanent Secretary Ministry of Entrepreneurship Kwaji Duguri explained that every 5 to 7 years, the International Day of Cooperative is celebrated with a view to tackling any challenges facing the cooperative societies.
Highlight of the event was award giving to some cooperatives for their effort in the area of development among others.
